AGM 2013

Above: Here are some of the team! There are around 25 of us all together. We are from several different churches (and different church traditions) across Leicestershire.

walking in pairs

Above: We normally go out in a team of four, one pair on either side of the road or street. Here we are walking up Market Street at around 2:00am on a Sunday morning.

Flip Flops

flip flops

Above: Street Pastors are famous for handing out flip flops so that ladies don’t cut their feet on broken glass when they take off their high heels.  Here are some happy recipients of flip flops in the summer of 2014.

taxi lady

Above: We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable night out. Sometimes we wait with people who feel vulnerable or unsafe until a friend or relative turns up. Here we are offering to walk to the taxi rank with a lady who had just come out of the Curve Theatre.

Above: One of the main things we do is chat with people. A lot of people ask us who we are and what we do and we have some great conversations with young people outside bars and nightclubs.

Above: Whenever we come across a bottle or a glass we dispose of it so that it can’t get used as weapon later on in the night. On average we dispose of at least 50 bottles each night that we are out.
